If Wal-Mart Acquires Jet.com, can they Undercut Amazon?

If you own a business and/or regularly sell on Jet.com, then you most likely heard that Wal-Mart is in the process of possibly acquiring Jet.com for $3 billion.  Wal-Mart’s online presence isn’t much compared to Amazon and they’re hoping to vastly improve that with the likes of owning Jet.  Jet has made big waves on the e-commerce market and this acquisition will continue to increase the growth of the company.

The 21st century is undoubtedly the century of technology and in most industries, companies must make the best use of the internet in order to beat their competition.  Now some companies can have better earnings and stronger revenues, but at the end of the day their survival is all dependent upon their stance with technology, let alone their internet presence.

Wal-Mart has made the smart move of attempting to acquire Amazon’s new and upcoming rival, Jet, and we’ll see if the acquisition is successful.  Host of “Mad Money,” Jim Cramer claimed the acquisition to be a great idea and that “you can beat Amazon’s prices with it [Jet.com], something no one else has been able to do consistently, and that means it can be a potent arrow in Wal-Mart’s quiver.”
