Walmart and Jet.com Partner with TastyHayley Smith
An incredibly popular app, Tasty by BuzzFeed, has recently engaged in a partnership with Walmart and Jet.com.
If you haven’t downloaded the Tasty app, chances are you’ve seen their videos on Facebook or Twitter. Tasty produces step-by-step videos on how to cook all kinds of foods, from snacks and appetizers to entrees and desserts.
In an interview with Cheddar , Jet.com President Liza Landsman pointed out that, “Obviously we are very focused on this urban, affluent consumer where our brand has really taken hold, and providing a differentiated experience, with an assortment that’s not readily available in so many other places online.”
Tasty is an app that is enjoyed by people of all ages, but lots of busy millennials often watch the videos to decide what meals to cook in a hurry. The problem? A lot of them don’t have the materials required to create the meal.
Walmart and Jet.com partnered with the Tasty app to fix that problem. Attached to each video and recipe, Walmart has added direct links where viewers can purchase the products used in the video on Walmart and Jet.com. With their innovation in instant shipping and delivery, Walmart and Jet.com are able to get these products to customers almost immediately, just in time to make dinner that night.
This partnership was launched in early December. According to Walmart , this will be successful because, “Jet.com, a go-to destination for a premium assortment of brands, appeals to Tasty’s urban millennial audience.”
